RAWALPINDI: Pakistan Muslim League-Nawaz (PML-N) senior leader Pervaiz Rasheed recently stated that PML-N will only support Pakistan Peoples Party’s (PPP) Aitzaz Ahsan for president-ship if he apologises to Nawaz Sharif.
The former information minister did not clearly mention why Aitzaz should apologise to Nawaz Sharif.
He further added that PML-N has not finalised its presidential candidate and they are also consulting with allied parties for the support in this regard.
Last week, PPP nominated Aitzaz Ahsan and Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) nominated Dr Arif Alvi as their candidates for the upcoming presidential elections.
The presidential elections have been scheduled on September 4 by the election commission of Pakistan.
