LAHORE: Reacting to Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) Chairman Imran Khan’s speech in Miawali on Saturday, Minister of State for Information, Broadcasting and National Heritage Marriyum Aurangzeb said, “Imran is repeating his speeches and his lies”.
Citing Shahbaz Sharif’s achievements in Punjab, she said, “The change in Khyber Pakhtunkhwa (KP) would have come if Imran had learnt from Punjab Chief Minister Shahbaz Sharif”.
She citicised the KP government for not doing anything to stop the spread of dangue virus in the province and further termed Imran Khan mentally unstable due to his avarice for getting power.
She added that the claims of the KP government to provide better facilities in educational institutes proved to be fake as 35% schools still lack access to clean drinking water.
While addressing a rally, Imran Khan said that Pakistan Muslim League- Nawaz (PML-N) government’s development projects are only limited to paperwork.
He promised that he would ensure elimination of poverty from the region through the reformation of the tax system and the strengthening of the Federal Board of Revenue (FBR).
